Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal has dismissed speculation claiming that Mesut Ozil and Unai Emery have been part of a training ground bust-up, the Evening Standard reports.
Claims have been made to suggest that Emery and Ozil’s relationship is already frosty, despite the Spaniard only arriving at the club in the summer.
However, Monreal has been quick to pour cold water over these reports, insisting that there is no bad blood shared between the influential Arsenal pair.
The Spanish full-back discussed Ozil’s recent form and jumped to the defence of his teammate following criticism from elsewhere.

People have been a bit unfair with him. He is a very famous player and obviously, people love talking about him. Recently, it is always bad things. Like last time, he was sick and that’s why he didn’t play. People started to invent that he had a problem with the manager.
It wasn’t like that. He got a cold, he was sick, that’s it. That’s why he didn’t play.
Monreal has played an involved role under his compatriot Emery since his appointment as Gunners boss, operating at left-back in the absence of Sead Kolasinac due to injury.
The experienced defender will be keen to help his side kick on and secure their third consecutive Premier League win after the international break when they face Newcastle United away from home.
