Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has been reflecting on his start to life at the Emirates.
As quoted by the Mirror, the promising young Frenchman spoke of his delight to have established himself in the first-team picture at Arsenal already, claiming that he is “living a dream”.
It’s going very well – I’m living a dream. Arsenal is my heart club, the one I have supported since I was little. I grew up watching, with my father, the videos of Vieira, Henry and the others, French players who made history.
Guendouzi was signed by the Gunners during the summer transfer window and has since enjoyed an unprecedented start to life in North London.

Recruited for a sum of just £7 million from Ligue 2 outfit Lorient, Guendouzi was expected to play the role of a star for the future. However, he has been firmly in Unai Emery’s plans since his arrival at the Emirates in the summer.
Guendouzi was courted by clubs from across Europe, such as Borussia Dortmund and PSG, but his heart was always set on a move to Arsenal, he has admitted.
When I knew the club was interested to bring me, I did not hesitate. I hope it will last a long time, that I will progress, make a great career and win trophies with this club.
The 19-year-old will hope that after the international break, he can retain his place in the Arsenal starting line-up when they travel to Newcastle United in the Premier League.
