# Arsenal target Benjamin Pavard denies Bayern agreement

Arsenal and Spurs target Benjamin Pavard has played down suggestions he has agreed a deal in principle to join Bayern Munich.

[Speaking to L’Equipe](https://www.lequipe.fr/Medias/Actualites/Benjamin-pavard-je-n-ai-rien-signe-avec-le-bayern/937090), the French international claims he is happy and focused on Stuttgart, despite the ongoing speculation about his future.

> I did not sign anything at all. You are the journalists who say that I signed. I’m in Stuttgart, I’m fine there. My career plan was to stay one more season in Germany. I am in a very big German club, with fantastic fans. This club is a family, that’s what I need and that’s what I like about this club. I’m very good there.

Pavard has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bundesliga side after a standout season.

The right-back impressed at the World Cup in Russia and played a key role in France’s tournament-winning squad.

He scored the goal of the tournament with a brilliant strike against Argentina in the knockout rounds.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with the player, but it is believed that Bayern are leading the race to sign him.

The Bundesliga champions have become known for sweeping up the best young talent in the division over the years.
