Alexandre Lacazette discussed his relationship with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the pair combined to help Arsenal beat Cardiff City on Sunday.
The Frenchman proved to be the decisive factor between the two sides on the day as he turned in a man of the match performance. Lacazette claimed an assist and scored the winning goal, helping the Gunners to three important points.
Lacazette’s partner in crime, Aubameyang, operated in a wider role but remained influential. The Frenchman laid the ball on for his teammate, who curled the ball home to net Arsenal’s second of the day.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the 3-2 win at Cardiff, as quoted in a report from Goal, Lacazette hailed his relationship with Aubameyang.
If we are well off the pitch it is easier for us to play on the pitch. For me, it was important to start well. I wanted to prove to the coach that I can be in the first 11. I think I did that and I’m happy.
Large sections of the Arsenal fan base have clamoured to see Unai Emery deploy the pair in the same starting line-up and after an impressive display on Sunday, it seems a recipe for strong attacking performances has been found.
