Lacazette could quit Arsenal this week

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette could look to quit the Gunners this week before the European transfer window shuts, the Mirror reports.

The French forward is considering whether or not his future lies at the North London club after new gunners boss Unai Emery opted to leave him on the bench for all three of his side’s opening Premier League fixtures.

Emery has preferred to start former Borussia Dortmund front-man Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang up top as a lone striker, and has not yet given the pair the chance to start a match together.

Lacazette is worried about his chances of playing regular football at Arsenal this season and is now considering leaving the club before the end of the week, with the European transfer window currently still open.

French media outlet Le10Sport are reporting that several European clubs have already enquired about Lacazette’s availability before Friday’s deadline.

However, with the English transfer window already shut and Arsenal therefore being unable to sign a replacement, it is believed that the Gunners will do all they can to keep hold of the Frenchman.

Lacazette was a half-time substitute against West Ham at the weekend as Arsenal prevailed 3-1 winners against their London rivals.

    After the victory, Lacazette said:

I knew I could help the team.

What I do is different to everyone else. I just want to play and help my team all the time.

When you come off the bench you have to be ready for your team-mates, it is what I tried to do and obviously it helped us to get the win.
