Arsenal rode out 3-1 winners against West Ham in a vital victory for new Gunners boss Unai Emery.
It didn’t look like arsenal would be able to recover, and suffer a third defeat on the bounce, after Marko Arnautovic our West Ham ahead at the Emirates.
However, an Arsenal fightback condemned West Ham to another defeat, and handed Unai Emery his first win as Arsenal boss.
Goals from Nacho Monreal and a own goal from Issa Diop gave Arsenal the win, before Danny’s Welbeck added a third.
Here’s how we rated the Gunners.
Petr Cech – 6
Too many nervous moments when the ball was at his feet, but a good afternoon for Cech.
Hector Bellerin – 7
Got into some good positions early on, but really disappointing when dealing with Masuaku. Set up the third.
Shokdran Mustafi – 5
Improved massively after the break.
Sokratis – 5
Struggled with arnautovic throughout.
Nacho Monreal – 6
Provided a good outlet down the left but really had a mixed afternoon in North London. Struggled with Snodgrass but netted a goal.
Granit Xhaka – 6
Granit Xhaka really struggled to get back to defend against the Hammers
Matteo Guendouzi – 5
Wasteful with the ball, but certainly put a shift in. Replaced by Torreria.
Aaron Ramsey – 6
Some good moments that almost led to goals.
Alex Iwobi – 6
Direct with the ball and looked to make things happen. Taken off at half time.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang – 6
Couldn’t really get into the game. Lacazettes inclusion really stepped up his game.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan – 5
Passing off, wasteful in possession. Arsenal need more from him if he isn’t to replace Ozil’s creativity.
Alexandre Lacazette – 8
Superb. Forced the own goal.
Lucas Torreria – 7
Did well but still adjusting.
Danny Welbeck – 7
Good goal late on.
