Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been reflecting on Arsenal’s start to the 2018/19 Premier League campaign.
The Armenian international has already played an involved role in the Gunners’ first-team during Unai Emery’s introduction to English football and has impressed.
Mkhitaryan turned in a strong display against Chelsea at the weekend but could not prevent his side from succumbing to a 3-2 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
Prior to this, Arsenal’s fortunes were much the same. They welcomed Manchester City in their opening fixture of the season but were comprehensively swept aside in a 2-0 defeat to the reigning champions of the league.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Mkhitaryan has reflected on what has been a difficult start to the season for the Gunners, while highlighting what must change if Arsenal are to turn performances into results.
We’re not happy with the result but we know where we’re going, what we’re doing, what the coach is demanding from us and we’re trying to do that. We can say we had a hard schedule having played Manchester City and Chelsea, but we had to face them now or later so it doesn’t matter.
Mkhitaryan will be hoping to play a part in a positive result for his side when they return to the Emirates this weekend for a fixture against West Ham.
We did our best, in one case we can say we were unlucky a bit, but that is football, it can happen. The most important thing is to stay positive, believe in ourselves and to keep working the same way and the result will come.
We are creating chances. Maybe we are not as good to score at the moment but I think it’s just the first few games. We are going to try and realise them for the next games, maybe it can work, maybe it won’t, but we are going to try and we want to win, that is the main thing.
