Arsenal and England youth international joins Juventus

Italian giants Juventus have completed the signing of Arsenal and England youth international Stephy Mavididi, Sky Sports report.

The forward was in Italy last week, passing a medical and agreeing personal terms on Thursday, with the Serie A side confirming the deal on Friday.

The 20-year-old, who has represented England at U17, U18, U19 and U20 level, never made a first-team appearance at the Emirates and is set to join up with Juventus’ ‘B’ side this season.

Mavididi, who came through Arsenal’s academy, turned professional with the Gunners in the summer of 2015 and has enjoyed loan spells in the Football League with Preston North End and Charlton Athletic during his two seasons with the north London club.

The striker appeared in 14 matches for the Addicks last season and impressed many at The Valley, scoring twice and featured in both legs of Charlton’s play-off semi-final defeat to Shrewsbury Town in May.
