The Serie A giants had been chasing the signing of a new goalkeeper throughout the summer transfer window but have arrived at Ospina, with the experienced shot-stopper set to be a key man under Carlo Ancelotti.
Ospina’s future at the Emirates was thrown into doubt earlier on this summer, with Arsenal completing a deal to sign Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen.
It seems Arsenal boss Unai Emery regards Leno and the experienced Petr Cech as sufficient goalkeeping options for the season ahead, indicating that Ospina’s time at the club is set to be over.
Napoli have completed a deal to sign Ospina following Pepe Reina’s move to AC Milan on a free transfer at the end of last season.
It’s believed that the Italian outfit will have the option to sign Ospina on a permanent basis at the end of the season if he impresses during his time with Napoli.
