League One’s Charlton Athletic are targeting a loan deal for Arsenal defender Krystian Bielik, the Evening Standard reports.
Sides have until August 31st to secure any loan deals they may wish to make, and Bielik is a prime target for Charlton.
The 20-year-old centre-back joined Arsenal back in 2015 from Legia Warsaw but has failed to progress into the first team in North London since his move.
Bielik has had loan spells with both Birmingham City and Walsall since moving to England, though the latter was disrupted due to a shoulder injury.

Charlton made just two permanent signings before the transfer window last week and so are keen to add versatile loanees to their ranks. As well as playing centre-back, Bielik is also comfortable in defensive midfield.
Several Arsenal players have enjoyed loan moves at The Valley in the past, most notably Francis Coquelin and Stephy Mavididi.
Charlton’s Interim manager Lee Bowyer is keen to bring in other players alongside Bielik too before the loan window closes.
I need a centre-half, another central midfielder and winger/striker, that type of player.
