Catalin Carjan confirms he’ll sign for Arsenal

Romanian wonderkid Catalin Carjan has revealed that he will join Arsenal upon turning 16, the Mirror reports.

Carjan is regarded as one of the most promising talents in Romania and is set to sign for Arsenal in December after turning 16.

The Gunners have also won the race to bring Barcelona left-back Joel Lopez to the club, with Unai Emery keen to add promising young talent to his academy ranks.

Carjan enjoyed a successful trial with Arsenal last week with the midfielder set to finalise his deal with the North London club in December, having already departed Viitourul Domnesti.

Carjan confirmed the move and said that he can’t wait to join up with the Arsenal academy.

It’s something else. It’s a big difference I cannot wait to go there to sign and it’s going to be much better.

I will sign when I’m 16. They’ve been watching me for more matches and that was it – after that they sent me the tickets to go to them.

They told me that I was a good player and that they wanted [me] to go to the big team in two years.
