Campbell to move to Frosinone

Arsenal outcast Joel Campbell is set to sign a three-year-deal with Italian outfit Frosinone, the Express reports.

The Serie A new boys are poised to confirm Campbell’s arrival today with the forward currently undergoing a medical in Italy.

The move will bring Campbell’s seven year spell with Arsenal to an end since he signed from Saprissa, during which time he has made just 40 first-team appearances for the Gunners.

Whilst on the books with Arsenal, Campbell has has had loan spells with Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiakos, Villarreal and Sporting Lisbon.

Campbell was brought into the club by former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger who left in May, and now seems to have been deemed surplus to requirements by new boss Unai Emery.

Campbell would be a likely starter for Frosinone who finished third in Serie B last season to earn their promotion to the Italian top flight.
