Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are among a host of Premier League clubs keen to sign promising winger Elvis Azah, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
It’s believed that following an impressive spell on trial with Cardiff City this summer, Azah has emerged as a target for the Gunners, with the club looking to further bolster their youth ranks.
Azah turned in a standout performance for the Bluebirds in their Under-18 side, as he found the net on two occasions against West Ham in a friendly fixture.
The 17-year-old has previously been recognised on the international stage, too. Azah has been capped for the Republic of Ireland at U15 and U16 level, with big things expected of the Ghanaian-born winger.
Cardiff are believed to be keen on recruiting Azah on a permanent deal following his trial period at the club. However, the Welsh side will face stiff competition from other outfits in the Premier League, with West Ham said to also be keen.
Arsenal will be hoping that their track record of developing young players will convince Azah to make the move to North London.
