Roma are looking to step up their interest in Arsenal and Tottenham target Steven N’Zonzi after the English transfer window closed.
Reports in Italy from Sport Mediaset claim that the Serie A outfit are preparing an offer for the player.
Roma have been heavily linked with a move for the Frenchman throughout the summer, but have been rivalled by Premier League competition.
However, they now have a free run at the French midfielder, who is maintaining his desire to leave Sevilla before the end of the summer.
The club’s sporting director Monchi is also believed to be in Sevilla over the weekend, but it is unclear if this is a transfer related visit.
The report claims that a contract offer of €3.5 million is on the table in Rome for N’Zonzi.
The Giallorossi would reportedly need to pay somewhere in the region of €35 million to get a deal done.
