Arsenal are reportedly considering a last-minute move to sign Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida.

The London Evening Standard reports that the Turkish side are open to selling the Croatian if they receive a fee in the region of £27 million.

The report claims that exactly £26.9 million would be enough to bring the defender to the Premier League.

Vida has been heavily linked with a move to England throughout the summer after a standout World Cup.

Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal and West Ham were all said to be interested in the defender as the Turkish side look to cash in on him.

However, no offer that has been put forward has met Besiktas’ demands.

The player is said to be keen on completing a move to the Premier League, but time is running out to get a deal over the line.

Vida would follow Sokratis through the doors at Arsenal this summer, as Arsenal look to strengthen their centre-back positions.
