Arsenal defender Kolasinac out for up to ten weeks

Arsenal full-back Sead Kolašinac will be out for up to ten weeks after limping off against Chelsea during their pre-season clash in the International Champions Cup earlier this week, the club have confirmed.

The 25-year old had to be helped off the pitch following a collision with Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses, and was due to undergo a scan to reveal the extent of the injury on Thursday.

Now the Gunners have revealed an update on the Bosnian’s injury, with the left-back due to sit out for between eight and ten weeks after damaging his left knee.

Aaron Ramsey, who also was withdrawn with a niggling problem against the Blues, has not suffered as bad an injury, and is aiming to return to training next week.

Arsenal open their Premier League campaign at the Emirates next weekend against defending champions Manchester City, before journeying to Chelsea for their first away fixture the following week.
