Gunners slap £22 million valuation on Mustafi as permanent exit sought

Arsenal have placed a valuation of £22 million on Shkodran Mustafi.

Turkish newspaper Fanatik (translated and reported by Turkish Football) have suggested that Galatasary had approached the North Londoners with a loan offer for the 26-year-old, but were turned down in their advances.

It seems the German will not feature in new boss Unai Emery’s plans, with the Spaniard keen to make a quick buck on the central defender.

The Istanbul-club are reportedly not giving up in their pursuit of Mustafi, preparing to launch another loan bid to the Gunners closer to the transfer deadline of August 9.

Unable to meet the £22 million asking price thanks to UEFA’s Financial Fair Play restrictions, the Champions League outfit will hold out hope Arsenal will be unable to find a buyer for Mustafi before next Thursday.

The former Valencia centre-half made 35 appearances for Arsenal last season and has 20 Germany caps, last appearing in 2017.
