World Cup winning midfielder Steven N’Zonzi is considering snubbing Arsenal, in favour of a move to Italian giants AS Roma, according to Calciomercato, cited by the Mirror.
The 29-year-old holding midfielder has been one of Gunners boss Unai Emery’s top transfer targets during the summer window, and the French international is expected to leave Sevilla this summer.

However, despite N’Zonzi and Emery previously working together in the past at Sevilla, the midfielder is now a target for AS Roma, who may need to replace their French midfielder Maxime Gonalons.
Gonalons has been a target for fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace and the Italian side are now exploring the idea of bringing N’Zonzi to the Stadio Olimpico, if Gonalons makes the switch to Selhurst Park.
N’Zonzi’s release clause with Sevilla is around £36 million, and it is believed that any club wanting to talk to the midfielder over a potential move must meet the fee in full.
