[Gianluca Di Marzio reports](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/milan-gazidis-set-to-become-executive-director-in-september)that the Arsenal chief will make the move to Italy after they earmarked the 53-year-old as a prime target.

Gazidis will join the club and Umberto Gandini will also arrive as a vice-executive director.

The new owners are looking to make a stamp on the club and have former Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte lined up to replace Gennaro Gattuso.

Gazidis has been at Arsenal since 2009 and has been a controversial figure at times, with decisions made behind the scenes.

It was Gazidis that played a key role in changing the structure at the Emirates that would eventually see Arsene Wenger step down as first-team manager.
