Arsenal forward Lucas Perez will not be making the switch to Lazio this summer, according to his agent.
The Serie A outfit have been heavily linked with a move for the experienced Spaniard, who Arsenal are reportedly keen to offload before the start of the season.
Perez spent the duration of last season on loan back in his homeland of Spain, as he returned to Deportivo La Coruna.
However, Perez did not enjoy a great deal of success in La Liga, which has prompted talk that he could seek a fresh challenge away from Arsenal at Lazio, in Serie A.
These claims have since been refuted by Perez’s representatives, however, with the player’s agency Protio Sport shedding some light on the recent rumours.
Protio Sport told The Laziali:
It’s nothing believable, they invent things. Lucas wants to triumph at Arsenal, he signed there with that intention.
Lazio is a great team, but Arsenal are also. Lucas is in Singapore with his team preparing for a new season that we wish would be a great season. We have not talked to Lazio for months.
Perez has been starved of opportunities at the Emirates since his arrival in 2016 but it seems as though he remains desperate to leave his mark on English football.
