# Arsenal closely monitoring Serie A forward’s situation

Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on M’Baye Niang’s current situation at Torino.

The Gunners were [linked with a move](https://readarsenal.com/2018/07/05/arsenal-eyeing-summer-swoop-for-senegal-forward/) for the Senegal international earlier this month and it seems their interest remains strong, with Tuttosport (h/t [Calciomercato.it](https://www.calciomercato.it/news/311348/calciomercato_torino_l_arsenal_punta_niang)) claiming that Arsenal are attentive to the player’s current predicament.

Niang impressed for Senegal at the World Cup and it seems his displays have caught the eye of many, with Arsenal among the potential suitors ahead of next season.

Torino are believed to be chasing the signing of Italy international Simone Zaza this summer, with the club seemingly willing to oversee a shake-up of their attacking options.

Niang, however, is set to be hot property. Arsenal’s interest has been well-documented but according to these fresh claims from Italy, OGC Nice are also in the race.

Mario Balotelli appears to still be destined for an exit from the club and it’s believed that Niang has been identified as a potential contingency plan for Patrick Vieira’s side.
