Arsenal legend confirms decision to quit punditry role
Thierry Henry has confirmed that he will no longer be part of Sky Sports’ Premier League coverage ahead of the new season.
Speaking on his official Twitter account, Henry admitted that he needs to take a step away from the punditry role to focus on his coaching career.
It is with sadness, therefore, that I have decided that I must leave Sky Sports to enable me to spend more time on the pitch and concentrate on my journey to achieving that goal.
The former Arsenal striker has never hidden his intention to go into management and it appears that dream is edging ever closer.
Henry has been putting plans in place as he bids to take the first steps into management, with positions at Arsenal and most recently the Belgium national team.
The ex-French international has been working alongside Roberto Martinez at the World Cup, helping to guide Belgium to a third-place finish, the highest in their history.
Henry has been part of Sky Sports’ team for four seasons and is widely regarded as one of the best in the business, becoming a popular figure among both fans and fellow pundits.
