Andre Gomes will not be travelling with the Barcelona squad to the United States as part of their pre-season preparations.
Sport have confirmed that the player has been left behind amid speculation about his future.
The Portuguese midfielder is set to leave the club this summer and has drawn links to Arsenal, Juventus and Chelsea recently.
Unai Emery was said to be interested in bringing the player to the Emirates but would need to sell first before he could sanction a deal.
There were also suggestions that he could be offered to Chelsea as part of a deal to sign N’Golo Kante this summer.
Gomes has been unable to step up at Barcelona after making the move from Valencia and has found regular game time hard to come by.
Emery is a fan of the player but it remains to be seen if he will look to launch a move for him before the transfer window closes.
