# Financial reports reveal how much Arsenal have earned from World Cup payout

As is often the case with top Premier League teams, Arsenal had a plethora of players on international duty this summer as the 2018 World Cup was hosted in Russia.

The illustrious footballing competition is always one of celebration and it has been reported that Arsenal have also financially benefitted from this summer’s enthralling tournament.

This has been represented in recent figures disclosed by communications specialists [Tonka](https://www.tonka-pr.com/en/blog/fifa-compensations/). The financial reports have revealed which clubs have earned the most from FIFA’s compensation payouts, determined by the number of players who have been released for international involvement this summer, as part of the World Cup Benefits Programme.

Tonka’s findings show that Arsenal have earned the 13th highest amount of money from their players’ involvement in Russia this summer, with the club pocketing just under £2 million from the payouts.

Real Madrid and Manchester City lead the way at the top of the financial charts, with both sides accumulating just under £4 million respectively following their players’ exploits at the World Cup.
