Arsenal boss Unai Emery has played down suggestions that Steven N’Zonzi is set to join the club this summer.

Speaking to reporters, as published on the Mirror, Emery was coy when quizzed about a possible move for N’Zonzi.

I know him but we haven’t made a move for him.

The Sevilla midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates and has reportedly handed in a transfer request in Spain.

N’Zonzi is a player that he knows well from his time managing Sevilla.

After impressing following his move from Stoke, N’Zonzi has often been linked with moves away from the La Liga outfit, but no deal has ever materialised.

Juventus have been linked with the player in the past, but the arrival of Emre Can in Turin means the Old Lady are unlikely to make a move this summer.

Emery has been busy in the transfer market following his arrival. Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno, Sokratis, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi have all joined the club this summer.
