Arsenal target Aleksandr Golovin is reportedly keen to make a summer switch to Juventus.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the CSKA Moscow for some months now, but it seems they are trailing Juventus in the race to secure his services.
It was initially believed that Chelsea had stolen a march on their competitors, with a £27 million deal in the offing to recruit Golovin following his impressive World Cup campaign with Russia this summer.
However, according to fresh claims from Italy, the promising midfielder’s preferred destination is, in fact, Juventus.
Golovin enjoyed a hugely promising season in his homeland of Russia with CSKA and was believed to have impressed Arsenal during the two-legged Europa League clash against the Gunners.
However, with interest in the player having intensified, it seems the Gunners will miss out on Golovin, as Juventus and Chelsea lead the race.
The news of Golovin’s preference regarding a move may not come as a huge blow for the player, however, with Arsenal having already strengthened their midfield options with the addition of Lucas Torreira this week.
