Arsenal target Joel Lopez has taken to instagram to confirm his departure from La Liga giants Barcelona, Football.London reports.
The young left-back is believed to have rejected a new contract that was on offer to him by Barcelona, with Arsenal being heavily linked to the youngster.
Lopez, who played for Barca’s U16’s, is set to follow in the footsteps of Cesc Fabregas and Hector Bellerin by making the move from the Nou Camp to the Emirates.
Lopez believes that there will be more first team opportunities on offer at Arsenal as he looks set to join the Gunners’ academy ranks.
Reports in Spain claim that Arsenal’s head of football relations Raul Sanllehi has used his contacts at Barcelona to persuade Lopez to complete the switch to England.
