The club have confirmed Guendouzi has joined the club for an undisclosed fee from the French side.
The Frenchman becomes Arsenal’s second signing of the week, following Lucas Torreira’s arrival from Sampdoria.
He made 18 Ligue 2 appearances for Lorient last season, as they finished 7th in the table. This was after eight Ligue 1 appearances the season prior.
The 19-year-old has been capped once by France at under-20 level, and is a highly-thought-of player in France, with many tipping him for a future in the senior side.
Matteo Guendouzi started his youth career at PSG, before making the switch to Lorient in 2014, at the age of 15.
