Arsenal set to miss out on Martins as Atletico agree deal with Sporting

Atletico Madrid are reportedly closing in on a deal for Arsenal target Gelson Martins.

The winger had been under contract at Sporting, but terminated the agreement after the club’s fans attacked the players and coaching staff.

With several European giants vying for the 23-year-old’s signature, Arsenal had been facing competition from Liverpool and Atletico Madrid.
