Real Sociedad have reportedly initiated contact with the representatives of Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal.
According to a report from the Mirror, the La Liga outfit are acting on their interest in the Spaniard and are looking to land him on a permanent deal this summer.
Monreal was one of Arsenal’s more impressive performers in a disappointing last season under Arsene Wenger, but it seems his time at the club could be set to come to an end.

The left-back has apparently been identified by Sociedad as the perfect replacement for Alvaro Odriozola, who recently completed a big-money move to Real Madrid.
Monreal, who is now 32-years-old, acted as a versatile option for the Gunners last term, appearing as a left-sided central defender in a back three and also at left wing-back when called upon.
It’s believed that Arsenal have no intention to sell the player, but a return to his homeland of Spain could be of interest to Monreal at this stage of his career.
