Arsenal set to cash in on midfielder to fund Gomes move
Arsenal are set to cash in on Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey to fund a move for Barcelona’s Andre Gomes.
According to Sky Sports, Arsenal could look to move Ramsey on in order to secure a deal to sign Gomes.
Arsenal are interested in signing Gomes this summer, who is set to leave Barcelona.
The Portuguese international is thought to be surplus to requirements in Spain and would be open to a move to the Premier League.
Ramsey has been with Arsenal ten years, making over 300 appearances for the club – scoring 58 goals from midfield.
The 27-year-old netted 11 times in all competitions last campaign, his second-highest scoring season for the club.
Gomes played 31 games for Barcelona last season but failed to score a goal for the Spanish giants.
He has been capped 29 times by country and played a part in their European Championship success in 2016.
