# Arsenal open negotiations over deal for France international

Arsenal have opened negotiations with Sevilla as they pursue a deal for Steven N’Zonzi, according to claims from Sky Sports.

The Gunners have been perennially linked with a move for the experienced midfielder and it seems, following the arrival of Unai Emery as the club’s new manager, they are upping their interest in the player.

N’Zonzi flourished under the stewardship of Emery at Sevilla and it seems as though a reunion could be on the cards, with Arsenal pressing on with their efforts to sign him.

The 29-year-old is currently out in Russia with the French national team as they gear up for their semi-final date against either Brazil or Belgium next week.

Arsenal are close to completing the signing of Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria but if Sky Sports are to be believed, a deal to bring another midfielder in N’Zonzi to the Emirates is certainly in the works.
