Arsenal appear to have missed out on a deal to sign Ever Banega from Sevilla, with the player looking destined to stay in Spain.
According to Spanish based Marca, as cited on the Metro, the player has been convinced to remain with Sevilla by those behind the scenes at the club.
There had been some suggestions that Arsenal could move for the player, who was reportedly unhappy at Sevilla, but he is now thought to happy living in Spain.

The report claims that the player is ‘cautious’ about the prospect of moving away after a move to Inter did not go to plan.
Banega is a player that Emery knows well from his time in charge of the Spanish club and he could help reinforce Arsenal’s midfield this summer.
The midfielder had been one of Argentina’s star performers at the World Cup in Russia, helping them into the Round of 16.
