Arsenal eyeing summer swoop for Senegal forward

Arsenal have been linked with a surprise move for Senegal international M’Baye Niang.

The versatile attacker was a regular fixture in Aliou Cisse’s line-up during the World Cup group stages but was unable to help his country progress through to the knockout rounds.

Niang is currently plying his trade in Italy with Torino but after an impressive World Cup campaign on an individual level, it seems interest from across Europe is building.

According to claims from Italian news outlet Tuttosport, as cited in a report from Calciomercato, the Gunners are among a host of clubs who are keen to make a move for the ex-AC Milan star this summer.

Premier League rivals Everton are also named as potential suitors for the player, whilst a move to France is not ruled out. Monaco, Marseille and Nice are also touted as potential destinations.

Niang can play either on the right wing or as a striker, making him a versatile and valuable option for a club such as Arsenal.
