The father of Arsenal target Lucas Torreira has revealed that his son will undergo a medical with Premier League side Arsenal after the world cup, according to a report on Football Italia.
The Sampdoria midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to the Gunners and is set to join the London club for around €30 million.

The central midfielder has been in good form for Uruguay during the World Cup, helping them reach the quarter-final of the tournament by beating Portugal.
When speaking about his son’s situation, Torreira’s father said:
I want the best for my son and I also know that Arsenal showed a lot of interest in him.
It’s not done, neither is it official because he hasn’t signed anything, but there’s a great chance that Lucas’ future will be in England.
There was no problem in the negotiations, and the latest is that as soon as the World Cup ends, he’ll go to London for a medical.
New Arsenal boss Unai Emery is a huge admirer of Torreira and believes he will add tenacity to the Gunners’ midfield, an area of the squad that has been heavily criticised in recent seasons.
