Steven N’Zonzi has reportedly handed in a transfer request at Sevilla amid speculation of a summer move to Arsenal.
As per a report from Spanish outlet EFE, as cited on Calcio Mercato, the French midfielder’s father has written to the La Liga side outlining their intention to complete a move away from the club.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for N’Zonzi, who has impressed during his time in Spain after making the move from Stoke.
N’Zonzi is a player that Emery knows well from his time in charge of the club and reports have suggested he is eager to bring him with him to England.
The player has a €40 million release clause in his current deal that runs until 2020.
It is yet to be seen if Arsenal will move for the player this summer, there has also been interest from Italian giants Juventus in the past.
