New Arsenal manager Unai Emery is eager to sign Argentina international winger Cristian Pavon for £27 million as he looks to improve his squad ahead of the new season, according to a report on Talksport.
Reports in Spain suggest that Arsenal made a £27m bid for Pavon in January and are ready to submit another bid after Argentina were dumped out of the world cup.
The winger plays in his home country for Boca Juniors, with the club said to be in no rush to sell one of their best talents.

Pavon signed a new long-term contract with Boca Juniors last summer, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2022.
However, Arsenal are hopeful that a significant bid will tempt the Argentine giants to sell the winger, who started ahead of Gonzalo Higuain and Sergio Aguero in Argentina’s last-16 match with France.
Emery has already made two big summer signings and is looking to make plenty more before his first Premier League season at the Emirates kicks off.
Pavon netted six times and assisted 11 in the Argentine Primera Division last season and is well known for his pace and direct running with the ball.
