Arsenal are ready to abandon their interest in Gelson Martins and bid to sign former Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado, according to reports.
The Gunners had reportedly been interested in Portgual international Martins, who is available as a free agent after ripping up his Sporting CP contract due to being attacked by fans last season.
However, after seemingly missing out on the 23-year old, Unai Emery is turning his gaze elsewhere.
Reports in Portugal had suggested that Martins only wants to join a Champions League side, and would therefore favour a move to Liverpool over Arsenal.

Emery though, is unfazed, and is instead ready to turn his attention to Colombian winger Cuadrado, who has impressed at the ongoing World Cup.
Cuadrado has two years left on his current deal with Juventus, and with the Biaconeri having shelved talks on a new contract until after the World Cup, Arsenal could look to swoop in should those talks stall.
That is according Calciomercato, as cited by TeamTalk, who also claim that Max Allegri is reluctant to see Cuadrado go, seeing him as a vital piece of his Juventus side.
It is believed a bid of as much as €60million could be required to prise him loose.
