Arsenal are reportedly chasing a deal for La Liga side Real Betis’ defender Junior Firpo, according to the Mirror.
The Mirror state that reports from Spanish newspaper AS are claiming that Arsenal’s scouts have been watching Firpo’s performances and have been impressed with what they have seen.
Firpo, still only 21, made his senior dubut for Betis back in February and thereafter went on to start 14 La Liga games towards the end of the season.
The Gunners have reportedly notified Betis of their interest in the left-back.

The 21-year-old is also capable of playing on the left-wing or on the left side of the central defence.
Betis want Firpo to dismiss any interest from Arsenal and commit to a new contract with the club.
Firpo has a £22million release clause in his current contract and Betis want to raise this figure in any new contract to warn off interest from other clubs.
