Arsenal have already been active in the transfer market, having tied up deals for Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno in recent times.
Negotiations are ongoing between Arsenal and Sampdoria over a deal for Lucas Torreira, but it seems Sokratis could be recruited as Arsenal’s third signing of the summer.

The Gunners have been chasing the Greek international for some time now and it’s believed that he will arrive at the Emirates in a deal said to be worth in the region of £15m.
New Arsenal boss Unai Emery wants to add defensive reinforcements to his side following their frailties at the back under Arsene Wenger in the last few seasons.
Sokratis, 30, is not Arsenal’s only defensive target, though, with Freiburg’s Caglar Soyuncu having also been linked recently.
