Arsenal have held positive talks with the agent of Sevilla midfielder Éver Banega, according to the Daily Star.
The Argentina international is believed to be a key target by the Gunners new boss Unai Emery, who previously worked with him at Sevilla.
While talks have been going well on the player’s front, Arsenal still have to convince Sevilla into selling.

Banega is currently in Russia with his country, having left his future in the hands of his agent. However, with Argentina’s failings, he could shortly be available for discussions himself.
Arsenal are also interested in Portugal midfielder Gelson Martins, who has demanded that whichever club signs him this summer pay any remaining fee asked of him by Sporting, after having broken his contract with the club
