Selling club name their price as Arsenal look to sign World Cup star

Unai Emery is keen to bring one of his former players, Ever Banega, to Arsenal this summer and has been told it will only cost him around £10m, according to reports.

Sevilla paid around £10m to bring Banega back from Inter Milan and, according to reports, that’s the amount they’ll be willing to sell him for this summer.

The 29-year-old is currently in Russia, representing Argentina at the World Cup, so any potential move to the Emirates will be put on the backburner until his side are no longer competing in the tournament.

Emery apparently wants to install an up-tempo passing game at Arsenal next season and he knows that Banega is perfectly suited to that style of play.

With Jack Wilshere confirming his exit from the club, there is still room in Arsenal’s squad for a midfielder and it looks like Banega could be a possible post-World Cup addition.
