Arsenal are reportedly closing in on a deal for Barcelona prospect Joel Lopez, who has rejected a professional deal with the Catalan club.
The Mirror, who cite reports in Spain, suggest that the Gunners are set to sign the player.
Lopez has been the latest player that Arsenal have tried to bring to the club as the Gunners begin to look towards the future.
There has been a considerable effort to snap up some of the best young talents around Europe following the arrival of both Sven Mislintat and Raul Sanllehi.
The latter is likely to have played a key role in the deal, given his history with Barcelona.
Historically, Arsenal have always been prepared to take a risk on bringing young players in from Spain.
Cesc Fabregas was signed from the Catalan club at a young age and went on to learn his trade in the Premier League before returning to the Camp Nou.
