# Arsenal exploring deal for Barcelona forward

Arsenal are exploring the possibility of signing Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele.

[According to Football London,](https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/transfer-news/arsenal-mislintat-sokratis-dembele-transfers-14747660) Arsenal are interested in signing Dembele this summer.

The report claims that Arsenal are keen on a loan deal for Dembele, rather than a permanent one.

However, Football London also claim that a deal is highly unlikely at this moment in time.

Barcelona are looking to keep hold of Dembele next season and give him a chance to push on after a difficult first season in Spain.

Dembele is currently away at the World Cup in Russia with France, where he started their opening a game against Australia.

France won 2-1, although Dembele was unable to get himself on the scoresheet.

The 21-year-old joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund last summer for a fee in the region of €145m, but was only able to score four goals in 23 appearances for the Spanish outfit.
