Arsenal star set for Serie A switch
Arsenal could lose Petr Cech this summer, with Italian reports claiming that the goalkeeper is being lined up by Napoli.
The veteran shot-stopper is seemingly unlikely to be the number one goalkeeper under Unai Emery at Arsenal next season, with Bayer Leverkusen star Bernd Leno looking likely to join.
This could push Cech to seek pastures new this summer, with interest said to be building elsewhere.
Napoli, who could lose Pepe Reina in the current transfer window, are understood by Calciomercato to be lining up various goalkeeping targets, with Cech among those being considered.
The former Czech Republic international was a mainstay for Arsene Wenger in the Gunners’ starting line-up last season but, on a number of occasions, failed to convince with some underwhelming performances.
Cech has failed to recreate the form he produced during his tenure at Chelsea and it seems that this summer, providing Arsenal can recruit a goalkeeper such as Leno, they will let the 36-year-old depart.
