Arsenal star Mesut Ozil should be fit to feature for Germany at the World Cup after fears were raised over his condition ahead of the tournament.
The creative midfielder picked up a knee injury during his national team’s 2-1 defeat against Austria last weekend and it seemed as though he was struggling to shake the knock off.
However, as reported by Sky Sports, Germany’s team director Oliver Bierhoff has allayed fears over Ozil’s chances for the tournament in Russia.
It’s nothing dramatic, we just don’t want to take any risks and he was able to sprint in training. I assume he will be okay for the World Cup.

The Arsenal star is likely to be a key player for Joachim Low’s side this summer as Germany look to retain the World Cup following their win in the illustrious competition back in 2014.
Ozil endured a difficult season at Arsenal and struggled due to inconsistency.
However, the former Real Madrid man will be keen to make an impression at the World Cup and upon his return to North London, with Unai Emery now at the helm.
