Arsenal have reportedly targeted a move for Sporting CP winger Gelson Martins, and they could even sign him on a free transfer.
The Express have reported that with the Lisbon club in turmoil, Martins may be allowed to cancel his contract and become a free agent, meaning the Gunners could snap him up for nothing.
The Portuguese star joins fellow countrymen Rui Patricio and William Carvalho in wanting out of Sporting after a group of fans attacked players at the training ground, leaving some with nasty injuries.
The club finished third in Primeira Liga, and reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Securing Martins signature would be a big boost for Arsenal. With plenty of pace in the attacking ranks already, he could be an asset out wide, and make the Gunners’ attack even more threatening but Unai Emery’s men face competition him, with Italian giants Juventus also said to be keen on a move for the 23-year-old.
