Arsenal are reportedly among a host of clubs keen to sign Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven this summer.
According to claims from Dutch news outlet De Telegraaf, the tricky wide man has emerged as a target for Unai Emery’s men as they look to bolster their attacking options with a wide player.
Bergwijn enjoyed a superb season in the Eredivisie last term. He found the net on eight occasions as he added a cutting edge to his game, and he also contributed with a highly respectable seven assists from out wide.

The 20-year-old caught the eye of many with some stellar displays in Holland and it seems he has piqued Arsenal’s interest, with a summer swoop touted.
It’s claimed by De Telegraaf, however, that Liverpool were particularly attentive to Bergwijn’s progress for PSV. The report states that they scouted the youngster nearly every week following the Dutch winter break.
Arsenal’s depth in the wide areas is currently suspect, therefore links to a natural wide player such as Bergwijn come as no surprise.
