Arsenal are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Djene Dakonam from La Liga side Getafe this summer.
According to claims from Spanish news outlet AS, as reported in Sky Sports‘ Transfer Centre, the central defender has emerged as a target for Unai Emery as he looks to bolster his options at the back.
Arsenal’s defensive frailties have been well-documented over the course of the last few years and it seems action is being taken, with Emery keen to fix their woes in this area.

Dakonam enjoyed a good season at the back for Getafe and has evidently alerted some of the top clubs across Europe, including Arsenal.
The 26-year-old is a fully established international for his home country, Togo, and has been developing well over the years. His progression has not gone unnoticed, as Premier League interest seemingly mounts.
Sevilla and Villarreal are keen to keep the defender in Spain by landing him this summer but if reports are to be believed, his release clause is set at just over £30m with Getafe.
