Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for Juventus central defender Medhi Benatia in recent times.
The Gunners are on the lookout for a new centre-back as Unai Emery bids to remedy the squad’s defensive issues. A number of players have been linked with a move to the Emirates and Benatia is among those.
Juventus would like to keep hold of the Morocco international but according to reports in Italy, they could be tempted into a sale.

According to claims from Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited by Calciomercato, the Serie A champions will sanction the sale of Benatia this summer for any fee in excess of €23 million.
Benatia had an impressive season at Juventus and it comes as something of a surprise to see that the club allegedly value him in the region of just £20m.
Arsenal are thought to be closing in on a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund central defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos. However, it seems they are actively seeking yet more defensive additions, with Benatia linked.
